A global freight and construction company have joined forces to be the logistics partners for the great Waddle of Worcester.
Britannia Dynamic Logistics and AR Demolition will be making sure all 80 feathered friends are transported to and from their correct nesting points on the five-mile art trail.
While AR Demolition has previously transported both giraffes and elephants around the county, Britannia Dynamics Logistics are supporting their first art trail.
Phil Schiaffino, Managing Director for Britannia Dynamic Logistics, said: “Based at Hindlip, we’re just down the road from the hospice and it’s a charity which is close to our hearts.
“While our expertise lies in managing imports and exports globally, transporting penguins is definitely a first for the team! We’ll be ensuring the hospice huddle is well cared for on its travels, so the penguins look their best at auction, and raise valuable funds to support St Richard’s care across Worcestershire.”
Richard Dolman, CEO of AR Demolition, said: “We’ve loved being part of Worcester’s previous two art trails and nothing beats the looks on faces when you’re moving giant giraffes and elephants around the county!
“Most importantly of all, giving our time to St Richard’s Hospice means they can focus their funds on what matters most – the care of patients and loved ones. We’re very proud to be a trail logistics partner for a third year running.”
Sara Matthews, Business Development Manager for St Richard’s Hospice, said: “We’re so thankful to have AR Demolition by our sides once again and to be welcoming Britannia Dynamic Logistics as our logistics partners. We know with these brrr-illiant companies on board our hospice huddle is in safe hands.
“With sculpture painting now complete, we’re very excited for the countdown to the great Waddle of Worcester on 22 July. While all penguins have now been adopted there are other ways local businesses can get involved to avoid missing out on what’s going to be another spectacular celebration of community, art and culture.”
Sara said: “By sponsoring our Farewell Events, for example, your company will be part of something which brings thousands of visitors together in Worcester. It will build brand awareness for your business or organisation in a unique and memorable way and help build a feel-good factor among employees, customers and stakeholders.
“Crucially, you’ll also be helping to raise funds for St Richard’s Hospice and support our care of patients and their families in your local community.”
The great Waddle of Worcester is supported by Presenting Partners; Crowngate, DRPG, Worcester City Council and Worcestershire Ambassadors, Community and Education Partner; Worcester BID and Media Partners; the Worcester News and BBC Hereford & Worcester.
