Rachel Hunt Illustration
Rachel is a qualified architect. She worked in practice for a number of years before embarking upon a career in illustration after being shortlisted for the Serco Prize for Illustration in 2014. Since then, her work has been featured in various publications, including the official Tower Bridge guidebook, and is sold in a selection of independent galleries.
Rachel’s background in architecture has influenced her artistic style and subject matter. Her bold, minimal style seeks to pare a subject down to its essence and accentuate the simplicity of a form.
In 2023, her design was featured on a 2.5m tall giraffe sculpture as part of the ‘Croydon Stands Tall’ trail.

24. Croft Road gardens – Le Le Vésinet Promenade
Le Vésinet Promenade is named after Worcester’s twin town in France. Its German twin town is Kleve and the riverside walk below the cathedral is named after the city’s German twin.
In spring and summer look out for one of Worcestershire’s rarer and most elusive dragonflies – the common clubtail. You might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of one in flight or perhaps resting in the canopy of a lime tree. This medium-sized dragonfly is found along some rivers in southern England and Wales. It has extensive black and yellow markings and as its name suggests, a distinctive club-shaped tail!
