Description
Our penguin, Flutterhigh, is covered in butterflies, each one drawn on by as many children as we can from across our school. They are drawn around the words from a poem we have used to inspire us.
A butterfly in the wind.
A child is a butterfly in the wind. Some can fly higher than others; but each one flies the best it can. Why compare one against the other? Each one is different, each one is special, each one is beautiful.
Our sculpture remembers an inspiring lady who worked at our school as a Governor for many, many years. Her favourite living thing was a butterfly.
