Description

We ran a design competition open to all students and the winning illustration was produced by Nina Wilson in Year 9. Our second and third place winners, Izzy Bullingham-Nash and Ellie Kyte in Year 7 and 8, worked alongside Nina to paint the design onto the sculpture. Nina came up with the design after finding out about what our local sponsor NAL made, and how their products are used in familiar objects on our roads and pavements. The little penguins illustrated are walking on the zebra crossing, using the roads safely. This is also referencing The Beatles Abbey Road album cover, which Nina immediately thought of when she started thinking about famous roads and streets, and adds a little bit of humour into the design.
