Description
Named after Vesta Tilley, hence the traditional black and white outfit, she has been designed by our Year 7 and 8 pupils. Since COVID times they have used mindful colouring exercises in class and this is an echo of those. Representing Worcester, she has ‘hidden’ symbols in the design such as the fish pass, and the Severn, a Cathedral window, the teacup for the Porcelain Works, cricket, the artist’s palette for Benjamin Leader, the opening phrase of Enigma Variations, the oak leaf, the Worcester pears, as well as the snowdrops for St Richard’s.
